I have sun damaged skin from years of tanning. What bothers me most are the darks spots that are forming on my face. Is there a product that can help me?
Since turning 40 I've developed problem skin. My doctor says I'm in perimenopause. What is that and what can I do? Many women in their late 30's and 40's begin experiencing skin problems due to hormonal changes brought on by a decrease in estrogen levels as they approach menopause. Products with phyto-estrogens (Endurance Age-Control Cream) derived from plants such as, wild yam, sage and fennel, can greatly improve the skins firmness, aid in moisture loss, tame breakouts and soothe hormonally challenged skin. I have a problem with puffy eyes and dark circles. Eye creams only make it worse. What can I use? If you have puffy eyes, creams are too heavy for you. We recommend an eye gel with ingredients such as green tea extract to soothe the delicate eye area, ease puffiness, and lighten dark circles. Top of Page It's hard to find a foundation to match my skin color. I tried mixing two different ones together, but it still doesn't match. Any suggestions? This is a common problem. Everyone's skin is unique. It is not possible for most manufacturers to have the exact shade for every skin tone and type. That is why custom blended foundation is becoming so popular. Top of Page How often should I have a facial? That varies depending on your skin and the type of facial. Monthly cleansing facials are recommended to relax and rejuvenate and to keep the skin free from unwanted black heads and comedones. This will also keep you informed as to your skin's overall condition. Glycolic facials are best when done initially in a series of six, one to two weeks apart, for optimal results and then once a month for maintenance. Top of Page I keep hearing about glycolic acid. What is it and what does it do for the skin? Glycolic (derived from sugar cane) is quite possibly one of the most effective skin care products available today. In addition to the exfoliation of dead skin cells, which encourage healthier new cells to form, glycolic also increases the production of collagen, minimizes pore size, evens out pigmentation, and draws out impurities, giving the skin a smooth texture and overall healthy look. Top of Page How long should the hair be before it can be waxed? For best results, the hair must be more than just a stubble, preferably long enough that it lays on the skin. Top of Page Why is it better to wax than to shave? Shaving strengthens the hair, waxing weakens it. Faithful and regular waxing will result in finer hair and less growth. Top of Page I love having my legs waxed, but is there anything I can do for the ingrown hairs I get sometimes? Using a loofah when the hair starts growing in will help. Also, you can use a product designed for inhibiting ingrowns such as Tend Skin, available at our salon. Top of Page My skin has multiple problems. Some break out. Some dry areas. Some oilyness, etc. There are many specialty products available for specific problems. We suggest using our high potency concentrates which can be used individually or blended together and layered to combat several skin conditions. Top of Page |
